Amuka -To Wake Up
Sculpted from vegetable-tanned kips leather, this Amuka is defined by a rectangular mouth finished with a structured leather flap.
The flap fastens with a vintage-style brass tuck lock featuring a press-release mechanism.
A West African brass ornament adorns the sides of the frontal form, giving the face an individual and ceremonial character.
The warmth of the brass creates a rich contrast against the natural leather, while both materials will develop a distinctive patina over time.
Individually moulded by hand and dried naturally under the sun, every Amuka emerges with its own facial expression, contours and proportions.
No two pieces are identical.
