100% cotton provides a strong, stable foundation for patterns to be drawn and beadwork to be applied by hand.
Without stretch fibres continually expanding beneath the work, the fabric offers greater stability for the pattern and the beads it carries.

Washed denim continues to develop its own variations in tone and texture.

Careful washing helps preserve the colour and beadwork while allowing the denim to age naturally through wear.

Always turn your Akire denim inside out before washing. This protects the beadwork from unnecessary friction and helps preserve the surface and colour of the denim.
For the gentlest care, wash by hand in cool or cold water with a mild detergent.
Handle the beadwork gently and avoid vigorous rubbing, twisting or wringing.
Your Akire denim may also be machine washed.
Turn the garment inside out and select a gentle or delicate cycle.
Avoid washing it alongside garments with hooks, exposed zips or other details that may catch against the beadwork.
For spills or isolated marks, gently clean the affected area by hand where possible rather than washing the entire garment.
Avoid aggressive scrubbing directly over the beadwork.
Allow the garment to dry naturally, preferably inside out.
Avoid excessive heat and tumble drying.
Iron only when necessary.
Keep the garment inside out and avoid placing direct heat or pressure over the beadwork.
Routine dry cleaning is not necessary.
Considered hand washing or a gentle machine cycle is generally sufficient for caring for your Akire denim.
Akire denim is not intended to remain untouched.
