Sculpted from vegetable-tanned kips leather, this Amuka has a smooth surface and a softly defined facial expression.

Cornrow-inspired scarification markings extend across the forehead, creating a rhythmic pattern that distinguishes the piece.

Its rounded, gourd-inspired body features an ellipse-shaped mouth, finished with a sculptural lid constructed from five individually cut and stacked layers of leather.

The layered construction gives the lid depth and structure while complementing the organic silhouette.

Individually moulded by hand and dried naturally under the sun, every Amuka develops its own expression, contours and proportions.

The vegetable-tanned leather will deepen in tone over time, acquiring a patina particular to its collector.
