An individually sourced Projekraw denim in white wash, selected for its 100% cotton composition and transformed through one of the more densely worked expressions of Akire’s horizontal beadwork.
Copper brown, grey, blue, black and purple are built across the denim in concentrated horizontal bands.
More beads are worked into each passage, giving the lines greater depth and substance than the lighter compositions within the Horizontal series.
Against the white ground, this density becomes part of the piece. Colour accumulates through the hand, bead by bead, creating a richer surface and a more pronounced horizontal rhythm.
At the back pocket, the composition shifts from line to symbol. The Akire beetle is worked entirely in black beads a singular House mark set against the white denim.
