An individually sourced Member’s Mark denim in mid-wash blue, selected for its 100% cotton composition and reworked through an Akire beadwork expression drawn from the branching structures found in nature.
Across the entire front, red, green and burnt-orange beads form an extending network of lines, travelling from the upper denim through to the hem. Some divide like branches; others spread with the irregularity of roots.
The composition deliberately sits between the two.
Rather than reproducing a tree or root system literally, the hand follows what they share – the instinct to extend, divide, change direction and continue.
Worked across the full length of the denim, the beadwork allows these lines to unfold differently from one side to the other.
At the back pocket, the Akire beetle carries its own divided composition: one half worked in green, the other in mixed bead colours.
It becomes a smaller expression within the larger work,a familiar House mark interpreted through the same freedom of colour.
Within Beadwork Expressions, nature is the point of observation. What follows belongs to the hand.
